Dr. Akkary’s cosmetic surgery practice is built around body contouring as a complete plan for the patient. Many of his procedures are designed to avoid general anesthesia, which shortens recovery, lowers the chance of a hospital-acquired infection, and changes the cost of the operation.
Training
He completed general surgery residency in Michigan, then two fellowships: bariatrics and advanced laparoscopic surgery at Yale University in New Haven, and cosmetic surgery at the Shumway Cosmetic Surgery Institute in San Diego.
