The office

The practice moved into a cosmetic surgery office and an office-based surgery suite accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. It was planned for comfort, efficiency, and the monitoring and emergency equipment of an operating room.

Personal bio

Years ago, in medical school, a professor — a world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon — told the class that a surgeon was just a physician with a craft. The implied message was that a good surgeon is a good physician first. Dr. Fisher describes his career as a long road following that advice.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, he emigrated from Canada to Arizona. For the following two decades he was a physician first. As a board-certified family practitioner and geriatrician, he looked after older adults in Sun City, Arizona, from routine care through the intensive care unit.
