Communicating Your Specific Goals

One of the most important elements of successful high-definition body contouring is understanding what your dream body looks like to you. The goal is not to impose your surgeon’s personal aesthetic preferences, but to understand your individual vision and develop a surgical plan designed around your goals, anatomy, and proportions.

Although certain body contouring goals such as creating a more defined waistline may be widely desired, other aesthetic choices are highly personal. The ideal shape, projection, and fullness of your buttocks and hips for example can vary considerably from one individual to another. What feels balanced and beautiful to one patient may not reflect another patient’s preferences.

That is why communicating your goals to our surgeons is an essential part of your consultation. Our doctors take pride in helping you articulate the specific contours you want to achieve and translating those preferences into a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan.

Defining Your Ideal Buttock Shape with the Brazilian Butt Lift Calculator

The Brazilian Butt Lift Calculator was developed to help prospective high-definition body contouring clients communicate their preferred buttock shape and size more precisely.

Using a series of visual caricatures, you can explore a range of buttock sizes, from minimal to more pronounced projections. You can also identify your preferred maximum projection position ranging from the upper to the middle, and even the lower vertical buttock pole.

The BBL calculator helps patients communicate their desired buttock size and shape ranging from subtle enhancement to those who prefer exaggerated projection. Rather than relying exclusively on verbal descriptions, the calculator gives you a visual to express your aesthetic preference to your surgeon.

Preferred buttock projection sizes ranging from 0.8 to 0.5 waist to buttock width ratio located along the upper, higher middle, middle, lower middle, and lower vertical buttock heights.

Personalizing Your Hip Shape with the Hip Dip Calculator

The Hip Dip Calculator offers a similar opportunity to communicate your preferences regarding the shape and fullness of your hips. Hip dips are natural indentations along the lateral hip contour, and the degree to which they are visible varies with skeletal anatomy, muscle structure, and fat distribution. Some patients prefer to preserve slight indentations by desiring a flattened hip region, while others prefer a fuller lateral hip that results in exaggerated curves.

Rear-view hip diagrams labeled A1 through F7, grouped by where maximum fullness sits, including a bottom row that fills the hip from upper to lower.
The hip dip calculator provides you the opportunity to choose between a range of waist to maximum hip width ratio ranging from 0.8 to 0.5 and to localize the maximum hip width ranging between upper, upper middle, middle, middle lower, and lower vertical buttock locations. Row F is reserved for clients desiring maximum fullness extending from the upper all the way down to the lower hip region.

The hip dip calculator allows you to explore different degrees and locations of hip-dip filling, helping you communicate whether you prefer minimal fullness or a more rounded and pronounced lateral curve.

Why Your Waist, Hips, and Buttocks Must Be Considered Together

Your waistline, hips, and buttocks do not exist as independent aesthetic features. Their proportions work together to determine the overall silhouette of your body.

When waist narrowing is part of your surgical plan, the relationship between the waist and the lower body becomes especially important. The degree of waist definition can influence how prominent your hips and buttocks appear, even when their actual volume changes very little.

For this reason, decisions about buttock projection and hip fullness should be considered in the context of your entire physique. A contour that looks appealing in isolation may produce a very different overall silhouette when combined with a more defined waist.

Our goal is to help you understand these relationships so that your choices are intentional and your surgical plan considers the overall proportions you wish to achieve.

Your Vision, Your Preferences, Your Customized Plan

The Brazilian Butt Lift Calculator and Hip Dip Calculator are designed to make the consultation process more visual, specific, and collaborative. They provide a framework for discussing your preferences and help your surgeon understand the contours you envision rather than relying on assumptions.

Ultimately, your selections represent your aesthetic goals, not a guarantee of a particular result. Your surgeon will explain which preferences may be achievable based on your anatomy, tissue characteristics, available fat, and the safety limitations of the proposed procedures.

The objective is to align your vision with a medically appropriate surgical plan. By communicating your preferences clearly and considering how each contour contributes to your overall silhouette, you and your surgeon can work toward a result that reflects your personal definition of your dream body. The successful use of the BBL Calculator to optimize your BBL results is best appreciated by our published work below.
