Scarless Skin Tightening

Scarless skin tightening refers to the ability to tighten the skin without the need for cutting.

High definition liposuction attempts to provide transformative body contouring improvements; superior results were not previously feasible if patients presented with skin redundancy.

Using the High Definition Liposuction (HDL) Grading Scale, patients are scored based on the degree of 1) excess fat 2) redundant skin, and 3) skin texture. High definition liposuction surgical plans attempt to transform patients to a near-perfect 9 or 10 regardless of their initial HDL scale point value! Patients with redundant skin will often require skin-tightening procedures, especially when considering VASER liposuction’s ability to comprehensively remove fat.

Skin redundancy (extra skin) has become a real concern for High Definition Liposuction surgeons since VASER liposuction is more aggressive in removing fat than traditional liposuction. Intuitively when you remove more fat, you will be left with more skin redundancy. This is a bigger concern in older patients desiring body contouring. After the age of 45, skin can lose elasticity (meaning its recoil potential) as levels of the recoil protein “elastin” become depleted.

Traditionally, extra skin has required surgical cutting out of redundant skin. However, the advent of Renuvion® skin tightening now allows for the elimination of minimal to moderate skin redundancy without the need for surgical incisions and potential subsequent scars. Renuvion® is able to heat up the collagen in your skin to tighten it (called subdermal coagulation), like shrink-wrap. When HD VASER liposuction is coupled with Renuvion® technology, several concern areas that were previously untreatable can now be contoured optimally. Please make a consultation with one of our High Definition Liposuction surgeons to appreciate the changes that you could expect.

Scarless Skin Tightening with VASER lipo and J-Plasma with Dr. Arian Mowlavi

You would benefit from a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. That being said, you would likely benefit from high definition VASER liposuction. The Gold Standard for superior liposuction results requires the use of the advanced technology of ultrasound-assisted VASER liposuction. As an official trainer of VASER liposuction, I perform full-body liposuction cases every week. VASER liposuction has been the only modality that has consistently resulted in outstanding liposuction outcomes. VASER liposuction ensures a smooth contour regardless of the degree of excess fat by virtue of being able to remove any and all remaining fat comprehensively and uniformly. If skin redundancy is observed, Renuvion technology can be simultaneously applied to tighten your skin to optimize your overall contour outcome.

Skin tightening will likely not give you the results you are looking for. It is difficult to effectively answer your question without a consultation. You are encouraged to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. That being said, if you wish to change the appearance, shape, or position of your breasts you may want to consider a breast augmentation/ lift.

Renuvion skin tightening, J Plasma, is often coupled with a TT or liposuction to resolve any noticeable skin redundancy. That being said, the results of this cosmetic technique are limited. Skin tightening cannot resolve extensive skin laxity. This technique is typically used to enhance the results of another elective procedure. J plasma can be used to resolve slight skin redundancy from your previous TT, although it is hard to say definitively without photos or in-person consultation.

It is hard to answer your question without photos or in-person consultation. That being said, renuvion skin tightening, J Plasma, is often used following a separate elective surgery or following weight loss. This skin tightening technology cannot resolve extensive jowls or extensive skin laxity.

You are encouraged to wait until your elective surgery results have fully developed. If, after that point, you are still unsatisfied with your results you may consider renuvion skin tightening or possibly a tummy tuck to remove the stretch marks and skin below the belly button.
Given the extent of skin laxity and excess fat, you would benefit from a tummy tuck. If you are concerned with downtime, you may want to consider a mini tummy tuck, which does not operate on the abdominal muscle. This way recovery time is easier and shorter. Skin tightening technology is not likely to produce any effective results.

J Plasma has two functions

a)facial surface ablation;

b)subdermal coagulation for skin tightening.

I have been using the skin tightening tool to treat the entire body including the: arms, legs, flanks, lower and mid-back. Just remember that you have to first use VASER liposuction in these areas.

The treatment for inner thighs requires an evaluation of the degree of fat and skin. The fat is best removed using ultrasound-assisted liposuction. Skin texture and amount of redundancy will then determine the appropriate treatment. For minimal to moderate skin redundancy, Renuvion skin tightening is most appropriate. For moderate to severe skin redundancy, you can consider a limited incision medial thigh tuck. A high definition body contouring specialist must be consulted to get a definitive recommendation.

You may benefit from lipo 360, although it is hard to determine without an in-person consultation. This procedure would address stubborn areas of fat in the upper and lower back, flanks (hips), and abdomen. Renuvion skin tightening is often coupled with this procedure to resolve any noticeable skin redundancy.
